- Various specialised training in his field and in Forensic Sciences.
- Participation in various national and international Congresses and Conferences, some of which as a speaker, in his specific area.
- Lecturer, speaker, and teacher in the field of forensic handwriting analysis, in several Specialisation Courses and Master's Degrees, with scientific publications resulting from his participation in national and international Congresses and Conferences. Co-supervision of a Master's thesis, specifically in the area of forensic handwriting analysis.
- Bachelor's degrees in History and in Primary Education Teaching, having taught in these areas. Postgraduate qualification in Internal Security.

He joined the Portuguese Judicial Police in 2007. He is a Forensic Science Specialist, working as a Handwriting Expert for over twelve years, initially in Lisbon and later in the Forensic Science Laboratory of the Northern Directorate of the Portuguese Judicial Police.
