- Associate Professor in University Institute of Health Sciences (IUCS-CESPU, Portugal) and member of the IT Department and also of the Educational Technologies Service of the CESPU's group with which has an affiliation since the conclusion of the PhD.
- Responsible for undergraduate/graduate(MS) course modules on Computational Methods in Forensic Sciences, Mathematics, Quantitative Methods & Data Analytics, Statistics, Research Methodology & Biostatistics.
- As a member of the Educational Technologies Service of the CESPU's group develops and maintains computer systems relevant to research and higher education, participating also in pedagogic innovation initiatives.
- Undergraduate and graduate (MS) dissertations (co)supervisor in the field of Forensic Sciences.

BIO
- Graduated in Applied Mathematics/Physics (Astronomy) from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (Portugal) in 2003. In the same institution completed his PhD in Astronomy in 2009, with the thesis work being developed in Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Cambridge, MA, USA and Centro de Astrofísica da Universidade do Porto, Portugal.
- Present research interests: mathematical/statistical modeling and development of computer programs applied to Health and Forensic Sciences.
